Meet The Maker

Hello and welcome to my shop! My name is Lana and I started Alchemy to create powerful talismans and amulets reflecting who you are, where you have been and where you are going in life's journey. Crafting bespoke jewelry from my studio in the mountains of Asheville, NC, each piece is hand crafted melding traditional and experimental techniques, drawing inspiration from nature, folklore, ancient jewelry, and the raw beauty of gemstones and minerals. Sometimes sketched and then formed, other times embracing the process of designs unfolding intuitively into something that flows from my hands and into the world. I primarily use the ancient technique of lost wax casting which requires sculpting each piece prior to casting and then melting the metal following the alchemic traditions of artisan handcrafted jewelry.

Fascinated by history and archeology since I was a child, I am drawn to ancient cultures and times including Egyptian, Medieval and the Baroque time periods which influence my work. Also a lover of nature and living enveloped by the Appalachian Mountains, I also draw inspiration from the mountains, rivers and streams that surround me.

Alchemy Jewelry often resembles fragments of forgotten fables and myths …mysterious, authentic, and organic. Inspired by Nature and the Divine, they are not just adornments, but small artifacts meant to be worn and loved. Each piece invites you to become part of its story, and for it to then tell your story, holding personal significance and worn every day with a focus on using only quality metals and gems.
