About
Meet The Maker
Lana, the creator and designer of Asheville, NC-based Alchemy Jewelry Designs, draws inspiration for her handcrafted jewelry from the waterfalls, rivers, creeks, flora and fauna of the beautiful Appalachian Mountains that surround her. She incorporates her love of nature and love of history into her designs through sculpted organic forms and precious and semiprecious gemstones from around the world, focusing on local stones that are ethically sourced. Through the ancient art of lost-wax casting, she skillfully carves her designs from wax, which then undergo a casting process that solidifies them into molten metal.
Lana has always had a passion for being creative and started making jewelry for friends in high school and then college where she majored in Dance and History. She then graduated from UNC School of Law and worked for various law firms, but she always felt displaced. After realizing that her love for creating art and jewelry was what truly made her happy, she finally decided to leave the “legal world” and merged her passion and career into one.
Lana’s unique line of jewelry is entirely handmade in her Asheville studio infused with her distinctive style. Her love and thought put into each design and years of jewelry-making experience creates a balanced union of nature's beauty and the spirit of modern design.
Her unique, earthy and organic jewelry designs demonstrate her attention to detail and the importance she sees in creating high quality pieces for her valued clients. Her hope as an artist is that you will each piece celebrates the unique personality of the collector and acts as a talisman that inspires, celebrates and uplifts you. Committed to ethically sourced, high-quality materials, Lana brings a profound love for her craft to each creation. Her unique pieces promise to be magic made from metal for years to come.
Lana loves creating custom jewelry for clients and creating jewelry that people can treasure forever.
